The Keychain new feature that works as a syncing password manager for Safari on iOS and Macs. It doesn't function with third-party applications unless the apps were designed with iCloud keychain support in mind, which is a lot easier said than done because the iOS makes it hard to copy-paste passwords. The most notable problem is the fact that iCloud Keychain doesn’t exactly play nice with other platforms, like Google Chrome or Microsoft Windows. If you use more than Apple products in your work or day-to-day life, it may a good idea to switch to a more universal password manager like LastPass, 1Password or Dashlane.

Choose Edit > Change Settings for Keychain “login.”
Select the “Lock after” checkbox, then enter a number of minutes.
If you want to require a password each time the computer goes to sleep, select the “Lock when sleeping” checkbox.
Click Save.
